Do we Design and Install Living Roofs?
Of course we do. When it comes to stormwater management, living roofs help slow the storm surge into the storm water systems.
The City of Victoria has the Rainwater Rewards Program where they will provide stormwater tax rebates to homes and businesses that incorporate living roofs, rain gardens, rainwater harvesting for toilet flushing or irrigation, and other systems that remove the surge of water that enter the city’s storm water systems.
We have designed and installed living roofs for beauty and for food. We have worked with structural engineers on helping them design the structure, we have installed full membrane systems, we have designed and installed the soils, irrigation and planting schemes.
Soon we will be posting images of a steep roof system, being built in Saanich.
