Rain fall comes in mysterious ways, especially with climate change. We are expecting longer drought periods over the months from June to September, and expecting fewer but more intense rain events in the winter. These are two of the variables that directly impact how you plan for storage.
Pollen, bird poo and other organic matter are also considerations that impact system sizing, pre-filtration and whether there are periods in the year you just do not collect or store those goodies.
Industrial pollutants can severely impact a choice to harvest or not. In areas like Chilliwack where smog gets trapped in the valley, the rains wash it out of the air, but these are not items you would want to ingest, and filtering out these items can be very pricey.
We have a program to help work through these issues and design a system that works.
